Hi guys! This blog is about guides on going to Tay-tay Falls (Majayjay Falls) which was featured on my previous post. I also added some tips on how to avoid hassles during your travel and have an enjoyable trip instead.
Public Transport
(from Pasay via Sta. Cruz)
1. From Pasay, ride a bus going to Sta Cruz, Laguna.
2. Ride a tricycle going to Sta. Cruz the market.
3. Ride a jeepney to Majayjay.
4 From Majayjay proper, ride another jeepney going to Taytay Falls (Majayjay Falls)
Pros: This is advisable for solo backpackers or small groups.
Cons:The trip will take long so commuting is not an option for those who have kids or youngsters as this will make them uncomfortable. Much better to bring or rent a private vehicle instead if your planning to bring your little ones here.
The availability of the jeepney going to the falls is from 6am-4pm only, leaving you an option to rent a tricycle instead after those hours. (tricycle-P500.00 up)
Private Transport
(from Cavite, Manila, Cubao)
1. Take the route going to Laguna via SLEX passing through Calamba and Los Baños the Bay. 2
2. After passing that long highway of Bay, Laguna, turn right into an intersection in Masapang Victoria going to Dayap.
3. From Dayap, find the tricycle terminal after a rawhouse(pabahay). Turn left into the terminal driving toward Nagcarlan, Liliw until Majayjay Poblacion.
4. Look for Costales Nature's Farm (Brgy. Gagalot, Majayjay, Laguna)and turn right into another intersection after the farm. In this part, you have to drive up a steep road so be sure to do a vehicle check before going here (specially your brakes).
5. Look for a basketball court (half court), turn right and find the Brgy hall.
(Pay for an environmental fee before proceeding to the falls).
Pros: Travelling will be more comfortable, most specially if you have kids.
If you are already familiar with the place, travel time will be much faster since you dont have to wait and transfer from one vehicle to another.
Cons: If its your first time to go here, the route is a little confusing due to a lot of turns to take.
The place along Majayjay proper is really secluded and almost no vehicles to see.
Based on what we've experienced, even though there are no houses around, there were few men along the road who'se asking to stop the car and asks for some money. For safety purposes, its much better to just continue driving if youre like us who are not familiar with the place.
These are the common routes that you can take if this is applicable to you. Please take note of some of my tips during your travel. In addition to this, always be prepared with your travel stuffs such as your safety kit, clothes, towels and toiletries. Of course dont forget your cameras to make sure that you will capture your memorable moments with your friends and loved ones. Lastly, and most importantly, PRAY and ask for the Lord's guidance during you trip.
There you go guys! Hope this simple guides and tips will help. Have a safe trip!!!
